Everyday Reasons to Send a Handwritten Note

You don't need a birthday or a wedding to send a card. You just need a reason to think of someone — and life is full of those.

Some occasions that are always worth a note:

A friend got a promotion. A neighbor brought over food when you needed it. A client just closed a big deal. Someone said something kind about your work. A teacher changed your kid's year. Your mom would just love to hear from you.

These moments pass quickly. A text disappears into a thread of hundreds. A card sits on a desk, gets moved to a windowsill, sometimes gets kept for years.

The difference isn't the size of the gesture. It's the permanence of it.

Keep a small stack of cards nearby. When someone crosses your mind, write it down before the feeling passes. Two sentences is a complete note. And a note is sometimes all someone needed to feel seen.

Having guided many clients through this exciting, yet sometimes confusing process, it has shown her what it takes to both customize and personalize any goal that is brought before her. McDonald has had over 15 years of professional client-based design experience. She has help small business hit the ground running as well as work will with some of the industries heavy hitters. What started out as a small wedding invitation adventure, has now grown into four businesses and a passion to help and support others on their own business journey.
